The myAuth system replaced the DS Logon system in the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) in the latest modernization effort, completed on Sept. 30, 2026.

Launched in May 2025, myAuth is a cloud-based identity verification system that has been customized, rebranded, and securely hosted within a DOW-authorized cloud infrastructure. Unlike DS Logon, which relied primarily on passwords and username combinations, myAuth incorporates modern multi-factor authentication (MFA) standards.

Since the rollout, myAuth has replaced DS Logon for milConnect, ID Card Office Online, MHS GENESIS, Express Scripts, United Concordia, the TRICARE regional contractors, and IPPS-A. The new log in process improves security and makes logging into the many applications military personnel, civilians, retirees, contractors, and their dependents use on a daily basis.

While Common Access Cards (CACs) will remain in use, especially for active-duty personnel and DOW employees accessing classified systems or physical installations, myAuth serves as a much-needed complement to existing infrastructure; allowing users access to platforms and applications who may not carry a CAC. Through myAuth, users can access DOW and Veterans Affairs (VA) systems using secure digital credentials and flexible MFA without requiring specialized hardware.

Users who haven't created a myAuth account will face delays since the legacy system will be offline as of Oct. 1., prompting users to verify their identity through the new system.
